Ask the Chief of the Anna Police:by Kenny Jenks A weekly column allowing readers access to useful information about law enforcement issues in the Anna area. Each week I receive requests for information from people in the Anna area. Having received repeat questions on the same subjects, I thought I would write a weekly column that might help answer some of these questions in the public forum. This column is the personal opinion of Kenny Jenks and is not the official opinion of the City of Anna or the Anna Police Department. Q: Chief Jenks, You seem to get a lot of compliments on your department. I have had nothing but bad times from the Anna P.D. Thought I would let you know that! Dwayne---FM 455
Dear Dwayne, NOTE To my readers, thank you for all of your emails. I don’t get a chance to print all of them, but I do read them. On a side thought, with spring comes a greater chance of severe weather. To help enhance your safety, the City of Anna is turning on a new automated weather-warning feature. Code Red Weather is an “opt-in” automated service that will be used to replace our current manually launched warning system. If you are a current Code Red registrant, you will have to go to the City’s Web site (www.annatexas.gov) and click on the Code Red icon to reenter your information. Any citizen needing assistance with Code Red Weather registration can call the Anna Police Department during normal business hours for assistance at 972-924-2848. See you next week!
*Phone numbers: Emergency???? Dial 911 to have a police officer sent toyou. In a nonemergency, call 972-547-5350. During normal business hours, the APD number is 972-924-2848. |
